Stay at Russell Place, Port Barton, Philippines. If you’re visiting Port Barton and would like some cute private accommodation that’s aesthetically pleasing but doesn’t break the bank – look no further. Russell Place has the most gorgeous triangular cabins, complete with electricity and a double bed. It also happens to be located in an absolutely beautiful part of the Philippines, where you can spend your days on white sand beaches surrounded by coconut trees.
Why Visit Port Barton?
Port Barton is the part of the island of Palawan that people come to relax. With endless white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise sea and island hopping trips, this town strikes just the right balance between being fun and chill. Less famous than its busy neighbour El Nido, Port Barton has managed to remain peaceful despite being so beautiful. A true slice of paradise!

What to Expect at Russell Place?
The private cabins at Russell Place are gorgeous, but they also have a dorm if you’re on a budget. For both room types, the bathroom is shared with everyone but they keep it really clean. Be warned that it is basic though – showers are cold water only. The wifi is generally good but Port Barton does get the occasional power cut. There’s no AC in the rooms, but they do have pretty strong fans. The private cabins have comfortable double beds, plenty of space to store belongings, fans and power sockets.
What is there to do nearby?
You can visit White Beach, Coconut Beach or the local Itaytay Beach. There are plenty of island hopping tours available and it’s also possible to rent kayaks and scooters in town. Read my full guide: What to do in Port Barton: Philippines Itinerary.
Where to eat in Port Barton?
The town of Port Barton is small enough to walk everywhere, so you don’t need to go for to get food. For such a small place, there are actually a lot of really good cafes and restaurants. I can recommend Fat Cat Bistro (the chef there is amazing – definitely try the Turkish eggs and the pizza), Dam Dam Place (good value breakfasts and really friendly staff) and Milano Café (great coffee and snacks).
