If you’re planning a trip to this beautiful northern European city then you’re in for a treat – as Tallinn is home to some of the best pastries in existence. The Scandinavian tradition of fika seems to have made its way across the Baltic Sea to Estonia, for this city is full to bursting of cute cafes perfect for chatting for hours with hot coffee and sweet cinnamon pastries.
I know I should be writing out a list of different cafes for you to try, but the truth is that when I was in Tallinn I just went to the same one cafe, again and again and again, because their freshly baked cinnamon rolls were so good. Sometimes you don’t need to try anything else to know that you’ve found the best.
So, if you’re in Tallinn, make sure to pop into RØST. Situated in an old industrial building on a small cobbled street in the Rotermanni quarter, this cafe oozes cool in a way that modern day Tallinn does so well. Pastries are all freshly baked each morning – but it’s the traditional cinnamon ones that you really must try – trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

As the saying goes… You know it when you eat it and you know it when you don’t! Of course when I go to Estonia I will feel compelled to do more comprehensive research on this topic. But what do you want to bet at the end of it all, I come to the same conclusion you did? 🙂
