Staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel should definitely be on your list if visiting London. The capital has a reputation for being busy and hectic, but at the Pan Pacific you can relax in tranquility. Read on for why you should stay at this beautiful hotel…
Being back home in the UK after more than two years stuck overseas during the pandemic was a strange feeling. So much was the same, but so much had changed. Visiting London as a tourist completely rekindled my love for the city, which had waned somewhat after one too many commutes packed into the Thameslink train like sardines.
With so many people from all areas of the city to meet up with during my short visit home, I decided to treat myself to a night right in the centre of the city, at the newly opened Pan Pacific hotel. Combining English charm with Singaporean luxury, this beautiful hotel manages to be both luxurious and homely, glamorous without being overdone.
The Location of the Pan Pacific Hotel
The Pan Pacific hotel is nestled right in the heart of central London: a two-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station (which makes it easy to reach from London City Airport via the new Elizabeth Line). Spitalfields market and Shoreditch are close by. There are plenty of good options for food and shopping. In a city as big and chaotic as London, being within walking distance of a good station and activities is an absolute must!
Spa and Swimming Pool at The Pan Pacific Hotel
One of the best features of the Pan Pacific is the beautiful 18.5 metre indoor infinity pool. Hotel guests get full access between 6.30am and 9pm. I shot down there first thing in the morning. Floating in the swimming pool overlooking the commuters at busy Bishopsgate Plaza was pretty cool! There’s also a sauna and steam room to relax away the stress of the day. For those wanting to keep fit, the Pan Pacific boasts a well-equipped gym and yoga studio.
Food at The Pan Pacific Hotel
No hotel stay is complete without a delicious breakfast. And the regal spread here did not disappoint! I selected room service so I could make the most of the fantastic views. But there’s also a buffet downstairs in the dining room. For later in the day, you may think you’ve done afternoon tea already, but the East-meets-West selection at the Pan Pacific’s Orchid Lounge looked mouthwateringly good. In the evening, treat yourself to some lavish South East Asian fine dining at the hotel’s restaurant, Straits Kitchen. The Pan Pacific Hotel London also has 3 bars to choose from: the Straits champagne bar, and the Ginger Lily and the Silverleaf for cocktails.
Overall, the Pan Pacific London is the perfect hotel if you want to combine your trip to the city with some real rest, relaxation and indulgence.
